12-day food and
culture tour of Calabria

June 7th - 18th, 2023

a taste.

reggio calabria

One of many stops we got planned is Calabria’s largest city with its panoramic location situated along the Strait of Messina with the island of Sicily in full view. Museum tours, including one devoted entirely to Bergamots. Pedestrian shopping and lunch.

ciro

Located on the Ionian coast, Cirò is the wine capital of Calabria. The wine was (and still is) highly esteemed by the Greeks that it was awarded to winning athletes in the original olympic games! Wine tasting and lunch as well as visiting a local family farm to learn about cheese making is on the itinerary.

tropea

An archeological site of cave dwellings in the foothills of Mount Poro is on the list of many things to do. A rustic lunch of local products, such as the sweet tropea onion, ‘nduja salami and homemade bread, prepared by the village’s women. Lots of walking is on the horizon as well. Tropea was voted Italy’s most beautiful village.

stilo

The Cattolica di Stilo, an architectural jewel of the byzantine, one of the many testaments to the Greeks in Calabria will be one of many stops on this food and traditions tour.

Bring your appetite

Above is just a taste of some of the towns that are on the tour's itinerary. This is a 12-day tour of some of the most delicious stops throughout the region so bring your appetite and walking shoes because you will be doing a lot of both for 12 consecutive days. Please inquire with any questions at all about the tour.
